Kantoi and skeptical me...

Kantoi

We had our extra class the other day.  I asked the pupils to calculate their marks but they didn't get to do it because they had no calculator. You know, children of these days...we (including the teacher) are no Charlie Eppes. Congak is not in our blood. We need calculator. But that's beside the story. So, in order to calculate the marks, they (the pupils) suggested that I used my handphone. And I did just that.  

In the midst of calculating, I remembered something which was funny. To me at least. So I smiled. Suddenly, one of the pupils said, " Hah, teacher tu sms la tu..senyum..senyum".  Senyum pun salah ke? Soon after that, I thought. I thought hard, and then I realised.. no wonder la, they always say..."teacher tu asyik sms je".  And now I'm thinking again. Bila masa yang saya asyik sms je? Memang saya asyik pegang phone. Tapi everytime pun because of the calculator. 

Anak murid saya percaya mereka dah berjaya mengantoikan saya. Saya nak cerita hakikat sebenar, tapi bila saya tengok muka sorang-sorang yang penuh kegembiraan kerana berjaya mengantoikan cikgu, saya biarkan je. Harap dah besar nanti dia faham..adults kalau senyum bila tengok phone most of the time bila dia tengok gaji ada surplus (mungkin)...not necessarily because of a text from boyfriend or girlfriend =)

Skeptic

I have to admit. I am quite skeptical about cikgu yang suka cakap, cikgu ni kena tahu macam-macam dan kena boleh buat macam-macam. Ada yang kata macam pro-nanny. Seriously, I don't like it. Simply because, itu akan buat kerjaya guru ni nampak macam tak pro. Kan biasa kita dengar orang kata... Jack of all trades, and master of none. Sume tahu, tapi tak ada satu pun yang kita master.

Baik pandai buat satu mende, tapi pandai betul-betul. Kan itu baru namanya pakar?
